Historical Sketch of David Call

I was born 20^th June 1868 in Bountiful, where I have spent the most of my life. I was away at different times at work for a few months. And, I spent nearly three years in the mission field laboring in the Southern States.

When but a small boy, I fell and broke my arm at the elbow and my father bound it up and administered to me and my arm got alright without being set by a doctor. A short time later I got my fingers shopped with an ex, the middle finger just hanging by a thread of skin, the bone being cut cross ways off the joint. My father also bound them up and administered to me. I haven't a stiff joint from the effects of either, but had I been taken to the doctor I would of been with[out] one of my fingers.

I have worked on the farm all of my life. On Dec 2^nd 1891 I married Eliza Dittmore at the Logan temple. We now have seven sons and two daughters, which we are trying to teach the principles of the gospel, that they may grow up to do right and serve the Lord is our desire.
