Field Trip to Chesterfield, Idaho

We had a great trip to Chesterfield and had about 30 people from Bountiful go on the field trip. We met with the Chesterfield Foundation people and presented a copy of our resolution officially adopting Chesterfield as Bountiful's Historic Sister City. We also presented them with the book "Bountiful City" by Les Foy, "Dwellings", and a few other history related items that tell about Bountiful. We spent most of the day at Chesterfield, took tours and photos and had a very worthwhile trip learning about the our Sister City that was settled by Bountiful residences during the early 1880's. This is the beginning of a good relationship between the two towns that will help Bountiful residents understand the history they share and we hope it will encourage those in our community that have ancestral ties to become involved in the restoration efforts in Chesterfield.
