On 5/29/09 at 1855 hours as 10 year old boy was struck by a car as he was skateboarding across the street at 325 W 400 N in Bountiful.  The 10 year old boy was in the crosswalk going from the south side of the street to the north on his skateboard when he was struck by a west bound vehicle being driven by a 55 year old female.  The Driver said that her dog, which was in the vehicle, distracted her and the sun was in her eyes so she did not see the boy in the crosswalk.  The boy suffered some head trauma and was take to Lakeview Hospital then flown by medical helicopter to Primary Children’s Medical Center where he was in somewhat stable condition.  The extent of his injuries has not yet been determined.  The accident is still under investigation and names are not being released at this time.
