How Do I Protect Myself from Identity Theft?

What do I do if I am the Victim of Identity Theft?

In most cases if you are a victim of identity theft you will have to contact the State Attorney General's Office for assistance. However, it is a good idea to contact your local police department and, if possible, file a report. An officer will take your report and provide you with an Information Packet to fill out. If you prefer, you can print the packet from this web site, fill it out, and bring it with you when you file the report.
